Background information

While the diagram depicts our 16-channel DVR solution the system platform covers a complete range, from 2- to 16-channel CIF with D1 preview and 1- to 4-channel D1 configurations. Based on our Nexperia media processors (PNX1x00), each design handles multiresolution, multi-channel encoding and decoding of today’s industry-standard digital video, audio and still image formats.

Highly integrated, low BOM configurations enable manufacturers to reduce cost and time-to-market in a wide range of security products. Applications featuring analytics, motion detection, gait analysis, facial recognition and more are possible – even when streaming multiple video channels. Also, hard disk and Flash memory storage are supported.

Advanced video and picture enhancement capabilities ensure exceptional video quality on either CRT or LCD displays. Multistandard video inputs also decode analog signals (PAL, SECAM and NTSC) into ITU601-compatible color component values prior to digitizing. Each input processor boasts extensive functionality from source selection right through to brightness, contrast and saturation control. And generous support for wired and wireless networking and connectivity – such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, USB, 1394, wireless 802.11 and more – gives comprehensive communication options.

The PNX1x00 media processors are supported by the Nexperia Media Player Software Development Kit (SDK). This suite of tools helps you create and test applications, libraries, and products. The SDK can also be used to develop customized security applications for both DVR and IP camera configurations.

A wide variety of security DVR configurations, security applications and support is available through a network of third party hardware and software partners.
